Underfloor Heating, the Modern way to Heat your Home

Underfloor Heating is mostly seen as a Luxury, to go along side Central Heating systems with the purpose of keeping your feet warm on usually cold Floor tiles, But these systems are not simply ‘Tile Heaters’ or ‘feet warmers’, they are ‘Underfloor Heating Systems’, Capable of Heating Entire Homes. In a fair few modern houses, Radiators are not being used at all, Underfloor heating is being installed throughout, with the Correct Insulation, Underfloor Heating becomes Economically, Environmentally and Speed efficient. Radiators give off heat from the wall on which they are placed, meaning heat is only truly felt when near the Radiator itself, the Heat also Rises from the radiator, up the wall, rather than outwards into the centre of the room, meaning Heat is lost through the Ceiling of the room. Data from The Hundreds of Air and Floor sensors in the Warmup Test Lab illustrate exactly why standard radiators systems are so inefficient when compared to floor heating. The Heat Signatures from Radiators are the opposite of the “Ideal Heat Signature”, feet and extremities may be warm, but the temperature at head height must overheat in order to reach the minimum comfort temperature at floor level. This wastes Fuel and is the cause of Radiator Heating’s poor Efficiency. Underfloor Heating releases heat upwards from all areas of the floor, meaning the heat is evenly distributed throughout the whole room, meaning you’re warm, wherever you are. The 3iE Thermostats, that are now in common usage with Underfloor Heating, give great flexibility, with up to 10 Events per day, you can set the heat to come on just before you wake in the morning, ensuring your kitchen and bathrooms are nice and toasty for when you wake up. This Stat also includes Active Energy Management with Graphics based energy monitors showing exactly how much energy is used and when, gives you the most efficient temperature for each room. Underfloor Heating is the Way forward, with gas Prices out weighing that of electric, in the future we see Electric Powered Underfloor Heating becoming the main heat source in every Modern home.
