Insulation Boards

The Insulation boards are water resistant, insulating tile backer boards. They are made of extruded polystyrene, with fiberglass mesh on both sides, which is embedded into a thin cement mortar to add durability. The Board is designed to withstand immense weight, around 30 tonnes per m2, and so is ideal for use as under floor heating insulation. It is used to prevent heat escaping downwards into the substrate, which would be wasted, it reflects the heat upwards instead, decreasing wasted heat and energy as well and increasing heat up times and decreasing running costs, as a result of this. The boards are Waterproof and are suitable for areas such as Showers and Bathrooms; it also provides a tacky surface, which do not require priming before tiling on. Also, Warmup say that During Tests, Heat up times on their Heaters, when using Boards, were cut from over 2 hours to just 20 minutes.
