Northampton Town Football Club Sponsorship
We are delighted to announce that Tile Choice have become new sponsors of Northampton Town Football Club. The sponsorship will be long-term, which we hope will be beneficial for both parties. The advertising will not only be a superb talking point as fans walk towards the stadium, but will also help establish our stores within Northamptonshire – Northampton, Kettering and Corby.
Northampton Town Football Club is a professional association football club based in the town of Northampton, Northamptonshire. The team play in league one which is the third tier of English football. They hold the record for the shortest time taken to be promoted from the bottom tier to the top tier and relegated back down to the bottom again, in the space of nine years.
Northampton Town Football Club was formed in 1897, after meetings between the town’s schoolteachers and local solicitor A.J.Darnell. They play their home games at the 7,500 capacity all-seater Sixfields Stadium, having moved in 1994 from the County Ground which they shared with the owners, Northamptonshire County Cricket Club. The clubs main rival is Peterborough United, a rivalry which has endured since the 1960s. Other recent Rivals include Rushden & Diamonds and Oxford United. The clubs colours have traditionally been claret and white. The club nickname is “The Cobblers”, a reference to the town’s historical shoe-making industry.
Northampton Town will play Manchester United in the third round of the EFL cup this month, which will be played on Wednesday, 21 September, 19:45 – the game will be broadcast live on Sky Sports. Northampton Town have played Manchester United on four previous occasions with the first meetings taking place in the 1965/66 season in Division One and the most recent being in the FA Cup 2004.
Our sponsorship includes perimeter advertising that provides us with a form of advertising which is very beneficial, as not only do the highly visual boards allow us to display our message to thousands of home and away fans and other users of the stadium, but we will also have a full page advert in their programmes – along with adverts being displayed on the led screens within the stadium.
