Key Industry Award For Thriving Midlands Retailer
A leading Midlands independent tile retail chain is celebrating a successful business year after winning a prestigious industry award over the weekend.
Tile Choice, whose head quarters are based in Wolverhampton and now have fifteen stores throughout the central region, was nominated for two awards at the 14th annual TTA (The Tile Association) awards held at Birmingham Hilton Hotel on Saturday 21st April.
Taking home the award for Excellence in Multiple Retailing Award, Tile Choice are a new edition to the nominations and were delighted to be recognised after such a successful year, which has seen the chain continue to rapidly expand.
Marketing Manager at Tile Choice, Lee Rudkin was particularly proud of the company’s achievement, having worked tirelessly to present why the brand should be nominated at this year’s TTA awards.
“All we tend to hear about in the news at the moment is how businesses of all sizes are struggling or how the economy continues to decline and we’re passionate about changing that perception, particularly of the Midlands” Lee said.
“As a company, we’ve been working very hard to try and buck this trend within the retail sector and have continued to see some great results because of our dedication to making Tile Choice the market leader.
“We are great believers in utilising our experience within the industry to focus on providing only excellent customer service and products, which is essentially what everybody is looking for from a retail perspective.
“From the quality products we offer, which are bulk bought from trusted suppliers which allows us to pass on significant in-store savings, to the way these are presented in each specific store; we like to make each shopping experience as enjoyable as possible for domestic and trade customers alike.
“We’ve also invested over £100,000 into a bespoke management information system, as well as continuing investment in new products, displays and staff training, to further commit to offering only the best in the industry and have seen a 14.5% growth since last year.
“And of course, it’s all down to individual style, so we make sure we stay up to date with the latest, interior design fashions as well as continuing to offer traditional products to keep ahead of our competition and remain always able to offer people a much wider choice.
“We are extremely proud to be recognised by the TTA for the work our dedicated team have put in to making Tile Choice such a success, which in turn has allowed us to continue to expand the company throughout the Midlands and beyond with a further two stores soon to be opened with the next month.”
The winners of each of the twenty two categories featured at the TTA Awards are meticulously checked against strict financial, technical and service standards to be named the best in the industry and are invited to a glittering awards ceremony where the winners are announced.
This is the first year Tile Choice has featured in the TTA Awards and the company put this down to its aggressive expansion and supporting marketing campaigns that has encouraged clear brand recognition and continued customer support.
