Let’s be honest, colour – especially bold brights – can be a bit scary. How much easier is it to go for neutrals? Colour, can really lift any space out of the ordinary and give it a modern update. It can help to wake up an otherwise plain room or draw the eye to a certain part of the room. From a simple hit of a saturated shade to a mix of intense brights, slotting in strong hues is more effective – and easier – than you might think.
The most practical way of adding colour to a scheme is by using wall tiles, especially in the bathroom or kitchen. Rather than tile the whole room, how about just picking out one wall and choosing a tile that packs a powerful punch. The rest of the room can be worked around the one wall, so if you have already seen a colour in which you want to incorporate it can be easy to decide on the coordinating colours and styles – much like working an outfit around the perfect shoes.
